The Performing Arts Center at Alameda Point

Envision a vibrant Performing Arts Center for local and international artists presenting music, dance, opera, theater, and literary arts.

Our goal is to be part of the Alameda Point revitalization, creating a regional destination and cultural anchor in a dramatic location with panoramic views of the San Francisco skyline and Bay.

A world-class venue—the first and only Bay Area waterfront performing arts center

Envision RADIUM on the waterfront as part of the newly revitalized Alameda Point, with breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay. Plans include a 500-seat theater, rehearsal space, bar and public lounge designed by Bora Architecture & Interiors and The Shalleck Collaborative.

RADIUM will feature live and broadcast performances by internationally-acclaimed guest performers, as well as new work from East Bay artists and students in a rich selection of music, dance, opera, theater, literary and visual arts.

A community of belonging with unprecedented accessibility for all

“We need to foster the arts as a way for people to connect. Theaters build community.”

Christopher Seiwald, Founder, RADIUM

“The performing arts center will be a great community builder, but also a place where people can learn about the world and feel connected to their humanity.”

Marielle Heller
Actor/ Director/Writer, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, The Queen’s Gambit.

A launch pad for emerging artists and an artistic lab for world class performers to innovate and iterate

An educational catalyst within the center and out in the community

“A new center for arts education in the East Bay.”

Radium Runway

We are building towards our vision for a performing arts center with a new outdoor venue, Radium Runway, a unique placemaking project, and series of arts programming designed to inspire, educate, and experiment.

A performing arts center at the heart of the Bay Area accessible by ferry, bike, car, or public transport.
