We continue to build on our vision for a performing arts center with our second season of Radium Runway, a unique placemaking project and series of arts programming designed to inspire, educate, and experiment.

A family friendly afternoon of food, drinks, and fun. Rogue Rhythmx will be perfroming at noon for Rhythmix Cultural Works PAL in the Parks followed by DJ Raul on the decks afterwards. Come hungry!
Radium Runway Opening Night
Featuring Javier Navarrette and his Socially Distant Friends

An evening of Latin music to celebrate the opening of Radium Runway. Featuring DJ Jose Ruiz (KPFA) and an ensemble led by East Bay percussionist Javier Navarrette.
Elena Pinderhughes + Young Musicians Choral Orchestra

Elena Ayodele Pinderhughes is an award winning vocalist, flutist, composer, and songwriter. Pinderhughes's style seamlessly blends jazz, hip-hop, and R&B influences, reflecting her diverse musical upbringing and open-minded approach to music.
The evening will kick off with a brief performance from the YMCO (Young Musicians Choral Orchestra) led by Geechi Taylor.

Golden Hour: Youth Music Festival
Saturday, September 30 3:00–6:00pm
Golden Hour Youth Music Festival celebrates the best of Alameda's emerging new artists. A selection of groups from high schools across the island will perform at Radium Runway and a performance by the Oakland Interfaith Youth Choir.
Auditions to participate in the festival happen Aug. 23rd at 4:30 at the Encinal High Gym.
Runway Story Jam

Come hear true personal stories told by the best storytellers in the Bay Area. Alameda Story Slam at the Radium Runway is inspired by The Moth Radio Hour and will feature funny and serious stories on the theme of Making From Scratch.
Ensemble Mik Nawooj

Ensemble Mik Nawooj (EMN)’s Hip-Hop Orchestra Experience is part concert, dance party, and club night featuring original music that samples from classical and hip-hop. Their music uniquely challenges the MCs and classical musicians pushing the boundaries of both hip-hop and concert music, creating something completely new.
The event will include a full 25-piece orchestra, DJ's and dancers for a truly unique mash-up experience.
Turf Inc at Radium Runway

Leave Your Mark/Dance Battle.
An all-star / all-style street dance event with a battle format. From Turfin, hip hop to house, to locking to popping - celebrity & street dancers will go head-to-head to “wow” the crowd to ultimately win their vote.
Limited seating is available for each performance.
We recommend you arrive an hour prior to the event start.
